50th Anniversary Special Issue – Part Two now published
We are delighted to announce the publication of the Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science 50th Anniversary Special Issue, Part 2. This follows on from Part 1, which was published in January 2009, and can be found online here.
For the first Special Issue (C1 2009), an account was given of the historical development of both the subject of mechanical engineering science and the Journal. Selected authors were invited to identify papers published in the Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science during its first half-century that are now identified with significant progress in the field.
For this second Special Issue, further authors were invited to appraise current and anticipated developments of note in selected aspects of mechanical engineering science.
The challenge for authors of papers in both C1 2009 and this issue was considerable. Some of the topics covered in this second Special Issue will be familiar to readers, but the reviews of current developments in several important, selected areas of mechanical engineering science will prove to be of interest to all readers.
