Engineering Open Choice – An Overview

Engineering Open Choice is the service provided by Professional Engineering Publishing that gives authors the option of having their published research made available free to anyone throughout the world. The service is available to authors of all papers accepted for publication upon payment of a standard fee. Engineering Open Choice is designed to satisfy the needs of the community – authors, funding bodies, readers – who want research material to be made available on an open access basis.

Engineering Open Choice is available in all our Journals. Professional Engineering Publishing continues to support and develop the established, subscription-based, publishing model and does not impose any publishing fees on authors who choose to follow this route to publication – other than fees for colour reproduction.

Whatever choice authors make – the open access route with Engineering Open Choice or the established, subscription-based dissemination of articles – they will continue to receive the first class service that we offer all authors.

All articles will be peer-reviewed to the highest standards, professionally produced, and made available both in print and in electronic versions on our dedicated website: http://journals.pepublishing.com/. In addition, every article will be registered in CrossRef and included in the appropriate Abstracting and Indexing services.

Whatever route authors choose we endeavour to ensure that the valuable research material that we produce is published as speedily as possible, distributed as widely as possible, and cited as extensively as possible.

Engineering Open Choice gives authors the option to choose how they want their research to be published. As an author-focused publisher, Professional Engineering Publishing believes that authors should have the right to determine what publication model best meets their needs.

The fee for Engineering Open Choice - payable after acceptance of the paper and before publication – is £1,700 + VAT in EU Countries (we can also invoice in US$ at the exchange rate applicable when authors opt for Engineering Open Choice).

If making the published version of your article freely available is an important concern for you, or your funding agency, then Engineering Open Choice is the solution for you. Engineering Open Choice makes the final, published version of the article available for free, with open access, to anyone, anywhere in the world.
