Message from the Editor
Dear Colleague,
I and the members of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Systems and Control Engineering know how important it is for authors to have their work published with a minimum delay after submission of their manuscript. For that reason we continue to strive for fast decision times and minimum delays in the production processes. That goal is of course tempered by the need to ensure rigorous standards in the refereeing of manuscripts.
The quality of the papers published has been such that we continue to attract new authors worldwide and the submission rates have been such that we are publishing more articles per year .
It is clear from the feedback we receive that the Journal is now recognised as one of the leaders in its field. We are particularly interested in highlighting experimental applications and industrial studies, but also new theoretical developments which are likely to provide the foundation for future applications.
In 2009, we have launched a new Series of “Forward Look” papers written by leading researchers and practitioners. These short articles are intended to be provocative and help to set the agenda for future developments. I am sure that you will find them interesting reading.
If you have not already had your work published in the Journal then I look forward to receiving a manuscript. If you have published in the Journal, may I thank you for your support and invite you to let the Board have suggestions that will help continue to improve its already high quality.
